Who we are
Sarvodaya Ahimsa works to encourage compassion for living beings and care for the environment. Its message is simple: even a small act of kindness matters.
What this campaign is about
A Diwali without firecrackers means choosing celebration with care for people, animals and our surroundings. JinSwara is collaborating to bring this message online through a personal pledge and certificate.
How it began
The firecracker free campaign began in 2010. The campaign’s shared material and blog document its early awareness activities in Jaipur.

2. Accurate details
Please enter your own name and city accurately. Do not impersonate another person or use abusive text.
3. Certificate meaning
The certificate reflects a personal pledge. It is not a government-issued document, qualification or proof of future conduct.
4. Campaign artwork
Poster ownership and credits remain with the respective rights holders. Approved sharing and printing permissions must be confirmed before publication.
5. Before launch
The responsible operator, contact details, applicable law, age eligibility and final usage permissions must be confirmed. This draft requires organiser and legal review.

What the form asks for
Your name and city, which are printed on your certificate. Age group and gender are optional; if chosen they are stored with your pledge for campaign statistics and are not printed on the certificate. For ages 0 to 8 and 9 to 15 only, a father's name may optionally be given; it is stored with the pledge, is not printed on the certificate and is not shown on the share page. A photo is optional. It is used only on your device to draw the certificate and is not uploaded on its own. No email is collected.
Proposed purpose
Use the submitted details to prepare the requested pledge certificate. Any additional purpose needs to be defined and reviewed before launch.
Sharing your certificate
Your certificate link uses a private random code. Anyone you send it to can see the name and city printed on it. Review those details before choosing to share.
Abuse protection
To limit misuse, a keyed code derived from your network address is stored instead of the address itself.
